Seedance 2.5 video generator
ByteDance's longest single-shot model. Thirty seconds in one take, with the sound made in the same pass as the picture.

01
What Seedance 2.5 is good at
Best for
- Long single takes. Any length from 4 to 30 seconds, with no cut to hide.
- Fashion film where fabric has to move: a walk, a turn, a coat caught by wind.
- Clips where sound and action have to land together, such as footsteps, a door or a spoken line.
- Holding one face, one product and one palette across a whole take, using the Reference endpoint.
Reach for something else when
- Drafts and quick tests. Seedance 2.0 Fast or MiniMax H3 Max cost a fraction per second.
- Product turntables and detail spins, where Kling 3.0 is the more precise pick.
- Shots built on a reference photo of a real person. The model may refuse it; Kling 3.0 Pro or MiniMax H3 Reference is the better route.
In Misu
- Selectable in the Video Studio as Seedance 2.5 and Seedance 2.5 Reference, both featured in the model picker.
- On Auto, a prompt-only run with no start frame goes to Seedance 2.5 unless you ask for a draft.
- Coverage mode runs on Seedance 2.5 Reference: it takes a clip you already filmed and re-shoots it from camera setups you never filmed.
- Cast a model and Character Lock sends the character's identity frames with the shot. Product Lock works on the still you animate.
- When the Director writes the prompt, it uses Seedance's own structure: hook, motion arc, subject, lighting, environment, atmosphere, audio.

Using Seedance 2.5 in Misu
01
Start from a frame, or from words
Pick a still from your Library as the start frame, add an end frame if the shot should land somewhere specific, or run from the prompt alone.
02
Choose the endpoint
Seedance 2.5 animates a start frame. Seedance 2.5 Reference has no start frame at all: you give it images, clips and audio, and say in the prompt how to combine them.
03
Set length and resolution
Pick any second from 4 to 30, and 480p, 720p or 1080p. The token cost updates as you move either one.
04
Run and review
The clip lands in your Library. Keep the prompt, change one thing, run again.
04
Prompting it for fashion and product
Write the first two seconds first. Say what the viewer sees before anything moves: the model mid-stride, the bag already in frame.
Describe motion as one continuous arc. A 30-second take has no cuts, so a camera that pushes in, drifts left and settles reads better than three separate moves.
Name the sound. The audio is generated with the picture, so heels on stone, a zip or a line of dialogue is timed to the action you describe. Leave it out and the model chooses for you.
For Reference runs, name each input by what it is for. One image holds the face, one holds the bag, one clip sets the camera language. The model needs to know which reference owns which job.

Seedance 2.5 questions
Is Seedance 2.5 available in Misu?
Yes. Both the image-to-video and Reference endpoints are in the Video Studio, on Canvas, and available to the Director on Auto. Video is included from the Studio Pro plan.
How long can a Seedance 2.5 clip be?
Up to 30 seconds in a single shot, from a 4-second minimum. That is double Seedance 2.0's 15-second ceiling.
Does Seedance 2.5 generate audio?
Yes. Audio is generated jointly with the picture, which keeps lip-sync and impact timing tight. You can switch it off per clip.
What does it cost in tokens?
Seedance 2.5 is priced per second. At current rates that is about 263 tokens a second at 480p or 720p, and roughly 2.5 times that at 1080p. The Studio shows the exact cost for your length and resolution before you run.
Can I use a photo of a real person as a reference?
Seedance may refuse references it reads as a real person's likeness. The refusal comes from the model itself and no setting changes it. When it happens, Misu tells you, and the shot can move to Kling 3.0 Pro or MiniMax H3 Reference.
Can I use the clips commercially?
Yes. Content generated on a paid plan is yours, under a full commercial licence.
